Betsy - Autumn Coloured Cards

Betsy here today to share a couple of cards.
The closest I can get to the Autumn theme, is to show you some cards made in Autumn colours. Do hope that counts!!



This card is called a trellis heart card, made from a template which was purchased from Sara, at Cardmaking Paradise.



I have recently bought this die, which is  Marianne LR0236. I love it and it can be purchased at Artfull Crafts. I have made it as an easel card, just to be a little different.

Jo - The Brick Wall

Hi everyone Jo here, here is my post for Artfull Crafts today.  I was sent this Fence and heart from Liz, and I have to say it really made me work hard.  I had originally decided to completely change it's whole structure and turn it into an abstract frame, but then I started thinking about all the wonderful things that this fence could mean to me.

A fence can stop people getting in, they can protect you, but they can also stop you from getting some where.  Then I found this really cool saying in my stash of quotes,

This is a brick wall.
It’s in your way.

You can climb over it.

Or tunnel under it.

Or kick it down.

or walk around it.

or Try and find a gate,

Or you can sit down

and weep life is not fair,

wall hating tears.



But let’s be honest:

When you cry, your mascara runs

And so does your nose.

And your eyes get red and puffy

And when you are done

That wall will still be there.

In your way.


But the choice is yours.


   

This is where the project begins:
I painted the fence sides in black paint, and then covered with paper from the Kaisercraft 75-Cents paper collection called sixpence.  I made these flowers from 75cents 6x6 Paper Pad using the Sizzix Tattered floral die, and adding some other Kaisercraft flowers.  I already had these felt brown leaves, but I decided on a few green leaves for a fresh feel.  

 










I cut out some Sizzix branches, and put some (yes it is still wet) glossy accents onto some butterflies.  I added this bird from Prima Marketing, but you could make your own out of resin.  I decided not to colour it, as I didn't want it to become that important on the project.   

 




I printed my poem onto  Kaisercraft Bricks paper from Base Coat collection and added some of these Kaisercraft Wooden Flourishes Borders on the top and the bottom of my poem. 


I added some cute hinges, some jute ribbon.
  
So here is my finished project. If you like the poem, feel free to copy it, and maybe you can use it in a journal page or make your own brick wall.  Enjoy.

Tracy - In the Attic


Hello... Tracy here again with a second card to match the one I posted last week for inspiration on our Autumn Adventures theme.


Once again I used new collection In the Attic, and Distress Markers to colour image. Such pretty colours in this range.


Its the weekend coming up tomorrow... what have you all got planned?... myself.. well I have some Bundle of Joy cards to make... so until next time

Christine - Lulu & Roy Cards

Hi there - Christine here with some cards using the Kaisercraft -  Lulu & Roy Collection.

 For this card I used the Marianne Design Creatables Die -Anja Edge then layered it with the Lulu & Roy papers. I embellished it with some of the Collectables and more diecuts - leaves and flourish.




This card is on a base of black card using the Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, the flower is a Collectable and I have used some kindy glitz on it.


This last card I based on a Mojo Monday sketch 281 love using their sketches.
The leaves are Spellbinders Shapeabilities Foliage  and the black flourish is cut from a MFT die.

Autumn Tones with Marigold

Hi there - it is Vicki here sharing some layouts using Kaisercraft's Marigold collection.

I just love the autumn colours of this range - from the deep brown to the burnt oranges to a splash of green, sage and blue - what is not to like!

 
The colours teamed well with Kaisercraft's paper blooms in terracotta, honey and sage.
 

 
Not to forget the all important journalling - I have hidden this in a secret pocket behind the "Cherished" title.
 
 

And with the leftovers from my stash - and just to show that autumn tonings can go with anything!  - here is a layout scrapped of my little maine coone kitten Sophie!

Just a little taste of Suga Pop

Hi there.  It is Vicki here sharing with you a little taste of Kaisercraft's Suga Pop.
 
I just love polka dots and one of my favourite colours is blue, so I had no problem choosing a favourite paper from the Suga Pop collection - Cotton Candy
 

 
I chose the gorgeous pink and blue flowers from Green Tara to embellish the layout.
 
 
The cute little owls can be found throughout the collection - I choose the ones from the sticker sheet together with the floral and heart borders to embellish this layout.
 
 
I used the Suga Pop's diecut paper - Gumball as the base for this other layout and I found Kaisercraft's mini paper blooms were a fantastic size to embellish.
 
I used the paper blooms as a little handle to pull out the journalling which I have done behind the photo.
 
This is one of the sweetest collections Kaisercraft have put out and would be perfect for not only those cute layouts but also for any easter projects you have coming up!

Autumn Card with Tracy

Hello... Tracy here to offer some inspiration on our new theme for this month...Autumn Adventures. Yes scary thought that Autumn is coming... mornings are starting to get darker... which means more time in the craft room at nights for me!!


I was a bit stuck on what paper to use and then came across this new collection In the Attic hidden in my DT package. Perfect for our Autumn theme. I decided to give my beloved copics a rest and tried my hand at colouring with Distress Markers which Liz has at her shop. Wow... I am impressed, so easy to use!


I love how all the Kaiser collections have matching product such as tags, flowers, rub-ons etc... it definatley makes card making easy.

Hi Everyone...Robbi Here

and I have something very special to show you from the new Kaisercraft "Bundle of Joy" collection
When I received this package full of goodies from Liz I fell in love with the soft colours and beautifulness (is that a word.....memo...check the dictionary) of this collection. I have said it before and I will say it again Kaisercraft has definately got some amazing designers on their side and they know what we are wanting
to be playing with as far as scrapbooking, cardmaking and even off the page.....My hat is off to you all at Kaiser, keep up the good work.

This first item is a gorgeous wee card I made and I also used some of the gorgeous Kaiser Pearl Brads they either come in a beautiful soft pink or pearl colour either compliments this range of papers



This 2nd card was fun to make (Im not a card maker at all, so totally out of my Depth!) but every now and then I do enjoy making something small.


and now here is something that I REALLY enjoyed creating
It is a canvas with a layout adhered on top. On the side of the canvas I roughed it up by using the tissue paper and Gesso effect, I was going to dab some very soft pink inks along the edges but liked the white against the pink tones when it was all finished so left it as it was. What do you think?

I must say a very big Thank You to Miss Amelia once again for letting me use her awesome photos for my baby creations, and in saying that here is another layout I created for Artfull Crafts but not using the Bundle of  Joy collection, its just to show you how cute she is

Sharing some Flora Delight with Vicki

Hi there - it is Vicki here sharing with some of Kaisercraft's Flora Delight.

I must admit that at first glance I found the colours of Flora Delight a little over-whelming - but once I started playing with the range I actually quite liked it. I completed these two layouts so hopefully it will give you some inspiration to give Flora Delight a place in your scrapbook stash.


If I had to pick a favourite from the range - then the paper Flora Delight - Chique would have to top the list - followed closely by the Flora Delight Sticker Sheet - I just love the flowers and the alphas are a great look and just the perfect size!



If you live near Artfull Crafts make sure you pop into the store to check these layouts out as Liz has them in her hot little hands for display.

March Challenges!

Congrats to our February winners announced yesterday. It's great to see so many of you sharing your creations with us. Challenge Theme - Autumn Adventures

I know it's hard to say goodbye to summer :-( but today is the first day of Autumn - so we thought we'd celebrate with the positive aspects of this season. How about submitting projects in the COLOURS of autumn - reds, oranges and yellows. What about a layout of your favourite deciduous tree, autumn garden or the annual Easter vacation. You are welcome to be creative with our themes.

Sketch Challenge

Sketches in Thyme have teamed with Artfull Crafts and have provided a sketch that you may want to use for inspiration. You don't have to stick to the monthly theme if you use these. Sketches are great for cards or layouts - and are perfect for the time-poor crafter, or for late at night when inspiration is lacking...
