Hi Everyone - this post is going to be short on words and long on pictures!
I have the following ideas for Christmas Favours. I could have posted every day about this! I just LOVE looking on the Internet for inspiration for little projects - and all of the ideas for these came from somewhere on-line - I have just adapted them so get googling!

"Sour Cream" Containers
In North America they have these wonderful stripy mints and as soon as I saw this paper from the Kaisercraft Be Merry Collection I knew what I wanted to do with it!. I have made a bucket of mints using a really simple technique which you can see here on my blog. http://papervinenz.blogspot.com/2010/12/paper-sour-cream-containers.html
I used 3x4 inch rectangles meaning you can get 12 of these out of a single sheet of 12x12 paper.
They would make great simple but elegant wrapping parcels for little presents. I have used another ruffle flower to decorate the front (you can see how these are made here)
I have made some chipboard buttons to decorate the "mints" and just tied them with organza ribbon.
I have filled these with mints and I think I will bring them down to Liz and the wonderful ladies in her shop over the weekend!
Treat Bags
I just LOVE these. I saw the idea for creating these in the Creating Keepsakes magazine, but looking online there are heaps of versions of the same theme – so here is mine.
My kids thought this was hilarious and now they ask for snowman poop instead of marshmallow! After I made these I thought of some non p**p related rhymes too. What about - “You are great and deserve good wishes, so here’s a bag of snowman kisses”
Lollipops
I have made these lollipop holders for the kids at my son’s daycare. They are basically a simple petal envelope template with a 2 inch base.
I have punched a hole in the bottom for the lollipop stick and decorated the front with simple inked letters that came in my Christmas DT package. Simple and easy for kids to get at the lollipop!
Tic Tacs
I have seen these gorgeous little snowmen Tic-Tac holders on heaps of blogs, so I have recreated my version by using the Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly Collection (digital version).
These are so much fun and on most of the blogs I have seen the snowman has been stamped on the front and has a circle punched out of his “tummy” so you can see the tic-tacs through the hole – very coooool idea!
So - I hope you have enjoyed these! Don't forget to e-mail your versions to Liz to be in to win a great prize. Look forward to seeing you if you are coming to the Grand Opening on Saturday!
WOW!! What fun! I love them all. Bring some down for the Opening!!
ReplyDeleteOh Lowri..You amaze me! all your ideas for this whole Christmas countdown have been awesome, I just don't know how you find the time to do so many things??? Everything you do looks so professional, your creations & your photography!
ReplyDeleteyou really are an inspiration to me (and to other scrappers I'm sure) Its a pleasure working on the same DT as you! Cheers - Shirl
Thanks Shirl! I have to say that one of the BEST tips I have picked up since being on the DT has been to take all my photographs outside and then all I usually do in Picassa is increase the contrast (shadows) to make the colours pop. It makes SO much difference!
ReplyDeleteLowri :-)
Awesome! The tictac boxes are inspired! I have to try them.
ReplyDeleteYou're one very talented lady. Love them all.
