Right are you up to speed now? Then I shall begin:-
Not the result that I had wanted but, in truth, much better than I expected so I am happy with the result. Spending time on the pre-planning really paid off and I couldn't have done so well without the fabulous sketches (Pagemaps are just amazing). I must also confess that I didn't take any flowers or rub-ons with me - they were all added after I got back.
And whilst we are on the subject of Dictionary Day, I should like to add COMERADERIE [kah-muh-rah-duh-ree: goodwill and lighthearted rapport between or among friends]. What a great bunch of ladies and so generous. Sharing cooking and clearing up chores but also advice, encouragement, compliments, techniques, knowledge, fashion ideas, lace, buttons, new magic glue and lots of laughter.
Unfortunately I had to leave earlier than the other ladies and do you know what they did? They all sent me nice "we miss you" and "it's not the same without you" texts during the evening. Bless their dear little scrappy hearts. To be honest I think they were all glad I had to leave early so I couldn't make them do another "Calendar Girls" photoshoot. [Oh darn it, I said I would never mention that again - "what goes on tour stays on tour" and all that].
Thanks for stopping by. x
