Hi today Sandy is posting. My origami wreath is made up of 12 interlocking units. It's based on Mette Pederson's modular folding technique. I used 12 pieces of 6"x6" paper for mine which measures 6" in diameter. If you vary the paper size, you can get a larger or smaller wreath. It's a great way to use up scraps from your old or new Christmas collections.
Tutorial :
- Draw these lines on your 6"x6" paper and valley fold along them
- Fold according to these steps.
- Make 12 units
- Insert the tab of one unit into the pocket of the other to form the wreath
wow Thanks Sandy, what a great christmas wreath, and so simple. I might have to have a go when I can decide which yummy christmas paper collection to start with :O) Tania

ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy - such an amazing gift!
Cam you use wrapping paper for this?
ReplyDeleteHow do you adjust the measurements for a larger wreath? Start with 8x8 or 10x10, maybe even 12x12 paper.
