Liz Gregory - Yours Truly Layouts

Somewhere in all the busyness of running a shop, online store and a great team, I've also managed to do some crafting! I LOVE the new This and That collections - but I decided to have a play with Yours Truly after taking these photos of my husband and I at Snoopy's Corner at Knottsberry Farm. We were over at CHA recently and took the opportunity to visit some theme parks (ooohhh such fun!). Can you see Graham hiding his face under the sign which says, "Cupid's Craft Corner"? He thought he'd managed to escape crafting for a day!

I've taken some inspiration from the style of Marcy Penner for these layouts - although I haven't strictly kept to the rectangular rules! I love the concept of white backgrounds, co-ordinating papers, stitching, multi-photo layouts and an eclectic mix of embellies. AND I challenged myself to use just scissors to cut the paper (NO straight lines around here!!).

Echo Park's Yours Truly range is clearly suitable for "love" layouts - but I'm keeping a set for black and white photos too. What I love most are the versatile journalling and border strips papers. I see so many applications for these - including cards. Why don't you select some Echo Paper papers and enter a papercraft project into our March competition?

With some of the left-overs I decided to create a couple of cards.

 Echo Park papers work perfectly for cards. Their double-sided designs are small enough that you can take little pieces and patchwork them together effectively. In fact, it's amazing how many cards you can make from left-overs!

Our good friends are about to celebrate 15 years of happy marriage - so what a great excuse to make a triple heart card. The problem is, will I ever want to give it up?! It's sitting in the shop on display at the moment and I'm enjoying looking at it!! I got the template from Sara Sandberg at Cardmaking Paradise.
