Sandy - More Mixed Brand Scrapping
Sandy with another layout for you where I mixed papers and embellishments from different brands. This was created based on a card sketch for Studio Calico's Sunday Sketch and uses old and new papers from the store together with products from my stash.
The first decision I made is to place all the key elements of my page along the left half of the page. So the title and a 3.5"x2.5" photo went in the large rectangle block with the journaling below. To achieve balance I moved those long strips to right and added a chipboard car to mimic the shape of the title tab in the sketch. The next step is to tilt everything 15 degrees off the vertical, creating visual interest on the edges of the layout as the strips cut off at various angles. A final sprinkle of clear rhinestones on the barcode paper and I'm done with this page about meteorological conditions in what is normally bright and sunny Singapore.
I think both the topic (weather) I'm scrapping about and the mix of products used is a good fit for this month's eclectic challenge theme. Hope you'll be inspired to play along with us and post your design in the competition gallery.
