Today I am here to show you a mini book I have made with the Art of Life collection from Kaisercraft.
Art of Life is one of those wonderful paper ranges that is universal - you can use it for practically ANY topic. Lovely neutral shades that blend with everything - just what every gal needs! It's also full of lots of positive affirmations, many of which I have used in this book.
Now I don't know about you, but I have been a washi collector for quite some time now... Yes, that's right, I love how cute it is, I buy it and take it home, sit at my desk and admire it, then I never use it. Until now. That's right, I bit the bullet and USED some.
To be honest, it's one of those things that is so easy to use, I wonder why I haven't used it more often. Duh! I liked the way that this particular washi tied in with the Art of Life colours, and in the end I used it to bring more continuity to my mini book, using it on every page to link them together, even going back to the cover page (which I thought I had finished), and adding some there too :)
So here's my challenge to you... take something from your stash that you have been 'saving for a rainy day' and USE IT. Right now. Today. I know you have something at home that fits the bill, you know, the 'oh-it's-too-pretty-to-cut' patterned paper, or the 'but-it-looks-so-nice-in-it's-packaging' packet of flowers/embellishments. Go on, do it, I dare ya! Once you have, leave me a comment and tell me about it, and I'll find a little something to send out to one of you :)
Now before I go, did you see the newsletter this week? Very exciting news.... a good friend of mine Trina McClune is coming down in March! She will be one of the tutors at the Staveley Stamp Camp from 14-16 March, and also teaching her famous 3-in-1 class on Thursday 13th March. I can't WAIT to catch up with her, and I promise you, she runs a GREAT class :) There are limited spaces for the Thursday night class, so if you're keen, BOOK IN NOW! See you there? Yes? Good!
Right, I'm off to spend some more time in my craft room. I'll be back on Saturday to show you what I've been up to. Until then,
Toodles, Beck x
Go Beck - OMG you actually used some of your washi - way to go, I am so proud of you. Love what you have done.
