Megan - Christmas Crackers

Hi Everyone!

Not long now til the big man arrives :)  hows all your decorating and creativity going?!  There are some beautiful creations in the gallery you have all been submitting :)

This week is all about decorations and today I have to some Christmas crackers to show you that were easy peasy to make with the We R Memory Keepers Cracker Punch Board.  Ive also combined two different Christmas collections, Echo Park Jingle All the Way and Kaisercrafts Mistletoe.  I bet you're thinking that won't work but you will be surprised!  I think they have turned out great. :)

They are the perfect little project and the possibilities are endless for their use.  They could be seating cards, real Christmas crackers, make enough of them stacked into a Christmas tree shape, or even as packaging for your gift!  The beauty of the punch boards is that you get to decide how big or how small you want them to be!

Here Ive used Jingle All the Way as the base piece of my cracker and then layered my embellishments on top, a combination of doily, flowers, snowflakes, buttons and a tag.  To get the double effect of the ribbon bows Ive tied the white ribbon properly and then made a single bow in red and adhered it on top, which makes less bulk and won't rip the patterned paper.

The second cracker Ive used cardstock as the base, and Ive also used it to create my poinsettia's with Spellbinders Poinsettia die.  The lovely bright doily is from the shop - you could die cut them and ink, paint or stamp them but this is so much easier and Liz has them in a few colours :)  The rest of the cluster uses the collectables from the Mistletoe range.

Thanks for popping by!  and don't forget to pop into the gallery, we love seeing what you've been creating!!
