Corri has kindly agreed to answer our 10 questions and share some of her favorite cards
How were you introduced to scrapbooking?
I started papercrafting in 2009. My sister in law found a personal Cricut on sale. I never really considered myself to be creative but once I started making cards I was hooked.
What inspires you for layouts, projects, cards?
I love surfing the web checking out all the fabulous blogs....I get inspiration from other crafters. I also love paper....many times when I see a sheet of paper I know exactly what I want to make with it.
What other project types do you like to work on besides scrapbook pages?
Actually, I haven't made a scrapbook page yet....I love making cards, banners, gift bags....and I'm starting to really enjoy altering items.
What is your favourite scrapbook brand and why?
Right now I am in love with Echo Park paper. I just love the bright colors and fun patterns. I also love the Tim Holtz distress inks...I love to ink the edges on everything!
What scrapbooking tools/products can you not do without?
My Cricut and now my Silhouette, my ATG gun, and ribbon.
What is your current favorite technique or embellishment?
I love ribbon and pearl/gem stickers.
What do you hope to try or improve on this year?
I want to improve my stamping....I would love to learn to color with copics and to paper piece.
What advice can you give to people just beginning to enjoy scrapbooking?
I would say to try new things...surf around the web and watch some tutorials.. There are so many amazing crafters that so generously share there talents.
Do you have a blog?
Yes, it's www.buglvr.blogspot.com
Please share three of your favorite projects and tell us a little about them
I made this card by die cutting the label from the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge out of ivory cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed my image and then used Tim Holtz distress ink to achieve the red background. The paper is from Echo Park - For the Record.
For my Sweet Birthday Wishes card, I loved the K and Company background paper with all the scallops so I just picked some Cricut images that tied in with that.
My banner is super simple but I love the way the alternating background color look together.

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful cards Corrie. I must confess to really not using my cricut but seeing these makes me think I really should get it out and use it more often. These certainly have given my great inspiration thank you.
