I must admit I struggle a little with "themed" papers but found this collection quite nice and easy to work with as it wasn't to bold. The Christmas colours were adaptable to a little girly photo so my little friend "Matilda" came along for the ride so I could show her off....isn't she a wee cutie.
The Collections pack is also a very good purchase and has a lot of useable little bits and pieces in it for either cards or the odd layout or 2.
So what have I made....ok here is the little card, simple, easy but quite effective with the gold touches
the papers used for this and the layout were from the 12x12 Paper Pad and the collectables pack
the gold layer is flat on the card and the green tinged layer is lifted by chipboard allowing the ribbon to be wrapped round it.. The bows were tied separately and glued in place.
The maroon base layer is lifted with chipboard and so it the piece from the 6x6 pad which has the Christmas tree on it.
So here's a couple of close ups
This is a close up of the flower cluster and the little mini bottle containing the "Fairy Dust" something every little girl should have
This shows the little cluster at the top left corner. I have punched out the circle centre added some chipboard to the back, added a flower to the circle base and added in place, with the little Merry Christmas banner tag these pieces came from the Collectables pack
Shows a little close up of the Santa from the collectables pack and the stickles I have used on the Christmas tree
Ok Ladies that's it from me for this post when I come back it will only be about 20 days to Christmas so hopefully you have made your cards, purchased your parcels, thought about the colour for your tree this year, prepared you menu for Christmas lunch and will be able to site back feet up and enjoy the season.....not running around like a headless chook!
With 2 new Daughters in Law this year we are sure to have a lot of fun and laughter and hopefully start a few new "Bell" traditions.....before we end up with a few of our own little "Matilda's"
Until next time
Take Care and Happy Scrapping
Robbi
What a little sweetie Matilda is! The colours in your layout are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHi Robbi, your layout looks really lovely, I really love your combination of papers, the flower cluster is just beautiful, some things really withstand the passage of time and I think this range of papers with its colours is quite timeless - Matilda will look back at this over the years and smile, I'm sure!
