Melissa - Christmas Layout

Hello!  It's Melissa here and today I have a Christmas layout made with non-Christmas supplies.  I'm not a huge themey (is that a word?) scrapper, so I like to stretch my supplies.  I'm really loving white and kraft together at the moment, and so I thought I'd go back and revisit my favourite Kaisercraft release this year Mix & Match.

My layout is an older photo of my oldest two kids having a photo with Santa at our local Christmas Family Fun Day.  The photos were taken by  Smiths City and given out free, so of course I had to get two (one for each child's album).

Here is my layout:

I started with some texture paste and a star stencil, and then built my paper layers on top.  I had to add a pop of red and silver, and finished with the wood veneer stars and drops of India ink.

Thanks for looking!
Melissa

  1. Hi Melissa, I also thought that the Mix & Match range would lend itself very well to a Christmas theme when I saw it, the red and craft really pops against the white in your layout making it look fabulous and of course the photo is the hero on this page - definitely says Christmas!

  2. Love it, Melissa! Mix and Match was one of my fave ranges too, and it looks fantastic here as a festive layout. :)

  3. For non traditional colours, you've totally worked this layout and that touch of red really makes it pop.
