7 weeks to go!

Hi everyone – 7 weeks til Christmas (is that possible?)
What a fun weekend – and I get to end it all with a blog post! And you won’t want to miss this one….
We’ve really enjoyed the last two weeks of Christmas Layouts. It’s so great to see the variety from our designers and we hope you have been inspired to do some crafting. Thanks Lowri for organising the schedule for us.
We have got a few entries for the Gallery Competition and the lucky winner (drawn out of a hat) is … Sherri! Well done and pop into the shop to collect your prize.
This week’s theme is Homemade Gifts. We know that many people are already thinking about their Christmas presents. If you want to win a selection of Fancy Pants papers and some embellishments send us a picture of your homemade gift by next Sunday evening (14th Nov). That date also happens to be Andrew Caird’s birthday. And he has something to share with us on the blog this week…
Andrew didn’t have all the materials available for a layout – but he’s been able to come up with a card. Well I’ll be honest! He thought that if he made a card, my husband might also be drawn into crafting and then be caught on camera. I think it’s all back-fired though. Graham managed to take the sellotape off the back of a section of card – while Andrew ended up cutting out the holly, putting the foam on the back, choosing the colour of the Christmas word and placing the holly where it looked the most balanced.
Admist a lot of laughter we managed to get a photo of him holding the card – totally incriminated! (Graham hid in the kitchen and made cups of tea…)
There was a little bit of guidance offered from this end though. I didn’t want them using up all my nice Teresa Collins papers and having it end up in the bin! Here's my lovely husband's
pose for the camera. Can you see the card in front of him....?
I also made a few cards with the lovely Teresa Collins product. I think that I can make at least 7 cards with only 3 pieces of paper!
Enjoy the blog posts this week and feel free to leave a comment if you like what you’re seeing!

And now for the continuationn of the Christmas Story. We have a passage form Matthew 1:18 - 23:
Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.”
22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g] (which means “God with us”).
