Michelle - A sneak peek ...

Sssshhhhhh ... can you keep a secret?

Tonight I am showing you a project I completed using one of the new gorgeous collections by Kaisercraft. One slight issue it's an April collection so not yet released, but I am guessing that Liz is going to have a huge line of ladies wanting to get their crafty hands on this one when it goes up online!

This April release is a beautiful collection of papers with papers in shades of turquoise/lime/red/kraft with black and white mixed in. There are some florals, some papers that look pre-misted with stencils - a collection not only perfect for card making and scrapbooking but also mixed media style projects.

I have completed this 6x6 canvas using supplies from the 6.5" pad and the collectables pack. The 6x6 canvas I bought is 1.5" thick and was already coloured black - so this saved me having to paint it. I chose one of the papers from the 6.5" pad and trimmed it so I would have a border of the canvas showing. I inked the edges using my Pinecone Versamark pad and stuck this to the canvas.

Next I used a couple of the die cuts which are also in the 6.5" pad, distressed the edges and also inked with the Pinecone Versamark pad. I then layered these on the canvas with a small square of muslin layered between them. I placed my photo on top and stuck a couple of Kaisercraft blooms on for extra depth. The sentiment along the bottom comes from the Collectables pack.

This type of canvas is easy to put together and would make a great gift or would be a beautiful piece of art for your walls.

So anyone out there like this collection as much as I do? Look out for it's reveal in the store in the next week, and watch out for some more of my projects as I play some more with this collection.

Have a great week
Michelle
