Scrappin' At Last...

I'm finding the odd snippet of time here and there to do some crafts. (Although that won't last long - its almost STOCK TAKE time and I fear that will be a big job this year!!)

I just LOVED the new Webster Collections and so I sat down to have a play with the Life's Portrait Collection.

The embellishments were supposed have arrived 2 weeks ago and are still being delayed with the distributor. Anyway, the papers themselves are so stunning and so I decided to make my own embellishments! The close up shows a glimmer misted doily scrunched in the centre, with a Prima Flower on top. Talking about Prima. We're getting closer to a big delivery of beautiful Prima flowers.

I used a second sheet of paper and did some 3-D work on the birdcage and on the corner features. And a touch of bling always sets off these pages nicely.

I must go and order the other Websters Collections and tidy up the classroom for a Birthday Party class this afternoon. Happy weekend :-)

Green Card Day!

What a fun Green card day we had! Yes the colour green featured, along with some St Patricks Day cards (who do you give those to?!) and some greenie recycled cards...

Here's a picture of some of them. I love the one in front. I've always wanted to play with cardboard and here's what I came up with. I've used a lavendar stamp and some violet flower soft to create that 3-D look.

Here we are - all wearing a little bit of green. And we enjoyed some mini pavlovas with green cream. Mmm...

Devonshire Delight

Congratulations to Angela who won our Kaisercraft March Competition! She'd made some cards using the new La Di Da papers and her name was pulled out of the hat. She won $70 worth of Kaiser goodies. So be sure to keep your eye on our competitions...

Another one will start at the end of the week (that one is always a really popular one - and you have to be quick). If you aren't signed up to our website you may miss it. Head there now to sign up and we'll also send you some free paper samples and some Kaisercraft workshop magazines.

Anyway, our stylish designer Clarissa has created this stunning Devonshire Card. She's used the Kaisercraft papers, an EK success border punch, an EK Success butterfly punch, K and Co Stamps (yummy) and our old favourite Swiss Dots Embossing folder.

Head to the gallery to check out some of the other entries in the competition.

I'm off to load a stack of $1 reserve auctions on Trade Me. There should be around 200 of Kaisercraft products listed this week... Go and check them out. You might get a bargain...

Competition ends Sunday...

Well, I'm back in Christchurch again! I had singing last night, something else tonight and then a whole weekend of singing rehearsals at Living Springs for the weekend. So it just seemed easier to stay up here for the rest of the week.

We had some fun today visiting a Scrapbooking Distributing Warehouse and stocking up... more new stock... Lots of K and Co and Maya Road products. More 12x12 and 8x8 albums too.

The competition that ends Sunday has only a few entires. So the odds are good for someone to win the $70 goodie bag. Email your picture through if you want to be in the draw. There is only one rule: Make something using the Devonshire or La Di Da Kaisercraft Collections.

Head to the Gallery to see the entries - there are layouts, a framed picture, an album, storage drawers and a card.

Here's an entry from Kerry. She came to a class and completed this bright project:
So get creating over the weekend and send the entries in before midnight Sunday...

We're in the middle of finalising the exciting information for SENZ. So I'll be back soon to let you know.

I'm spending a day with Clarissa tomorrow doing some scrapping. But I didn't really plan my packing very well so who knows what I actually brought with me to do. I'll see if I can dream up something... or I might have to head out to the local scrapbook shop and get some more goodies. (Now that would be a shame...)

Gypsy Sisters and Peachy Keen

We're actually home this weekend (for a change) so I have a whole lot of crafty activities planned. I did create some very nice projects last week - but I've decided not to share them because I might be running a class at SENZ with them. SO you'll have to wait!

Talking about SENZ you must book the 16th - 18th July into your calendars now! The NZ Scrapbooking and Stamping Expo is being held in Christhchurch and we do have some exciting news to share about that. But I might just wait another week before I make the announcements... That will keep you coming back to check!

Kaisercraft have done it again! Created 2 fabulous collections for us to hoard- (although I still haven't got around to playing with La Di Da and Devonshire yet. Maybe this weekend...). Their 2 new collections are Gypsy Sisters and Peachy Keen. I've ordered them already, but if you want to bve sure of getting the full collection then you should head to the website now and pre-order.

Peachy Keen

And they have come up with these 2 very cool projects - a Memo Block and Tea Pot! The Tea Post is a strictly limited Edition and so if you want one you should get in now!

And the new Kaisercraft Clear Mini Stamps have been so popular. I sold out of many of them in the first 3 days and had to reorder! Here's the link to see them all. One of our customers came in with some of the stamped images to show us how fabulous they looked. I hope I'll get the chance to ahve a play tonight with them. The Butterflies are some of the nicest ones I've seen in ages...

Right, so off I go to play. Have a great weekend!
