I really like the collectables that come with this range, they make adding that little something extra to your layout SO easy.

I have been working on a couple of other projects lately too, but I will have to wait until next time to show you.  In the meantime, have you caught up with the fact that Centre Stage is back?  Very cool. There's a blog post here if you want to catch up on what's going on.

is such a fun range to play with.  So many possibilities!  Lydia here with a quick post to show off some of this yummy goodness.


The colours of this paper range makes it work for any subject or photo.  As I was putting this layout together, my 12 year old son looked over my shoulder.  He was excited when he saw the layout was about him and said he "didn't mind the pink".  :)  Proving this line can be used for anyone.


I used some of Heidi's Color Shine as the base of my layout and papers from the 6x6 pad.  I especially liked the page with all the circles and cut out several for this layout.


Make sure you pop on over to the Artfull Crafts shop to pick up Heidi Swapp Centre Stage.  I'm sure it won't stay in the store for long!  I'll be back next week with more projects showing off this range.

Betsy here this morning to participate in CENTRE STAGE.

Heidi Swapp is the guest , for the month of November, on Centre Stage, at Artfull Crafts and what a privilege  it is to have her on board. She does have some gorgeous collections, but reviewing her blog I find that she doesn't do many cards. She appears to do a lot of albums, mini books etc which are really lovely, but being me and only a card maker, I have branched out. Do hope she doesn't mind!

Here are four that I have played with - the collection being Mixed Company.




There are so many bits and pieces that come with this range and I had fun putting it all together. The four cards are 5 1/4" square, as I find them much easier to work with, especially when there are lots to attach!!




With the collection comes a packet of Ephemera, which on first glance looks pure white. By spraying them with Heidi Swapp's Colour Shine, they really come to life. The butterflies would be one, also the word tag - it comes up gorgeous! I coloured the frame in the same way, again it was in a pack with the collection.




How could one do a card session without lace, bling, flowers etc?! Yes, I did have to add at least one!!




I have used the Colour Shine quite extensively on this card, firstly spraying the background paper, then most of the embellishments. Tim Holtz's Picture Wheel die was used to add another interest.

The Theme of the Month is Colour Fun - as long as you have four different colours on your project, you're in! There is also the sketch provided by Heidi Swapp which looks like it could be quite fun. Do wish I was a scrapbooker, at times! There are quite a collection of products to be won this month, thanks again to Heidi Swapp.

some awesome papers I have been playing with lately.
These are once AGAIN an amazing collection from Kaiser and its called  Base Coat 3
as expected this obviously will work well with any of the other 2 Base Coat collections and if you have noticed they have been very cunning and not named them Base Coat 1 - 2 or 3.                     Good marketing I think

Anyway I had some fun with these bits that Liz sent me and came up with a Layout and card for you.
Once again the layout ended up with coloured netting and fibre on it along with a little Tim Holtz goodness (Hey the Man goes with anything and everything!)
You might notice that I haven't filled in the Picture Wheel yet.....I am thinking I like the black spaces in the holes, what do you think?


This Layout was fun to create and I was able to use some favourite photos of Our 2 Boys.
I loved the colouring I was able to achieve by using Key Lime Pie, Trunk Bay and Patina Glimmermists on the fibre and the Distress inks Faded Jeans and Forest Moss on the muslin.


Here is the extra card I made using the papers as well. I cut lots of fish tail bannered strips and added them at angles. I used the new Steampunk Clock die from Cheery Lynn Designs and the Die-namics 4 stax die for the title tag, added the chipboard button, twine and coloured fibre and wella ...card complete, Not up to Miss Betsy's standard but a good way to showcase some of the cool papers.

I like the earthiness of these papers and the fact that they intermingle with each of the other 2 collections so you can grab any and all and have a play and they wont stress you out (to much) because they don't work, well I think Kaiser has hit the nail on the head with these collections and they will be the base for many a cool male orientated layout, card or OTP item.

Our Son Mike is home from the Gold Coast for a week so I'm trying to spend as much time as allowed (more like allocated! he's very popular) so we are away out for dinner tonight with him and his Fiancé Sherie to finalize plans for their upcoming wedding in March and the fact that I don't want to wear a dress....whose going to be looking at me anyway, I'm sure trousers (jeans) and top will be fine....wont it
