The following three cards are random ones I have made, some being orders.



Very pink isn't it ladies? Lately I seem to have been making a lot of 5 1/4" cards, as I find them easier to decorate, over all. For this one I have used BoBunny, Isabella collection, Spellbinders Lotus Die and the border down the side is from Memory Box, Honeysuckle Vine
.



Absolutely love this collection from Kaisercraft - True Romance. It almost looks lavender in this photo but no, it really is pink, although I have bordered it in purple. Cherry Lynn Step Card Die was used to cut this out, it really is a fabulous die. For the border at the bottom I have used Martha Stewart Lace Heart Edge punch.




Again this card was made with Kaisercraft's True Romance. These Prima Dolls are so cute and I have paper pieced her clothes using the same papers. Coloured her skin and hair using my Kaiserfusion alcohol pens. Artfull Crafts did have these dolls in stock but they went out so fast - I'm sure Juanita would order more, if you talked nicely to her!! Actually, I haven't been in for over a week, so they may be in again by now.

Hi everyone, It's Liz here with today's pink fix!

Last night I was busy creating some projects for kits that we are selling, and this one just happened to be using my new favourite collection from Kaisercraft - Lady Rose. It's been a SELL-OUT range, but we've reordered!
 

The star of the photo is my neautiful neice Ayla who turned 3 in the weekend. This was her with us at Christmas 2011 (how quickly time flies!).

The basis for the kit is a Kutalicious fence made from white acrylic and is 32cmm long x 26cm high. It's perfect for a wall-hanging or to sit on the mantle piece and will make a fabulous Christmas gift. I adhered the photo in the centre and then simply cut around the decorateive elements from Lady Rose Violette paper and stuck one section in the bottom left and one to the top right. I used 450 Quick Dry Fabric Glue (Helmar) for the whole project. It's perfect for gluing to any surface and for bulky flowers, ribbon and embellies. Then I added bows, leaves and flowers to complete! This project was one of my "15-minute" wonders. It's my new crafting rule. If I can't complete a project in 15 mins, then I'm mucking around too much LOL! Actually I'm making the most of every sunny occassion to get outside and work on the property we bought in January, meaning there's only a little bit of time available at the end of the evening. I love the longer days and this weekend we picked up our 2 calves, adding to our 3 sheep and 6 chickens.

Again, it was a simple job of gluing the wood, adding the paper, trimming it off with a craft knife and tidying up with an emery board. Then I added the photo and clustered the embellishments. Purchase the kit here.

Being a cross-stitcher in past crafty life, I have an abundance of coloured threads that match or contrast with most of the patterned papers. But even with this rainbow of threads I find I use a lot of white and black threads when I'm adding stitching.


So here are a few example of shapes cut on my cuttlebug using my MFT dies. Liz has a few varieties of dies in the shop but if there are other ones you want just contact her and she can order them in for you. Again in this example I am using Becky Higgins 3x4 Project Life grid cards.


Here I have pierced some holes through the design/card for ease of stitching.


Then I added some stitching with different coloured threads ... not just straight lines but also a cross for a different effect ... (Note: most threads are have 6 strands - I tend to split this in half and do my stitching with 3 strands).

Remember that you can use stitching on any of your projects ... you will quite often see stitching on my layouts and maybe on the odd card!

Good morning! Lisa here with a quick blog post featuring a little something for this month's challenge theme: pink! I've put together a mixed-media canvas, featuring an older range of papers-- Pink Paislee's She Art.


I created the background with a mixture of torn sheets of patterned paper and old dictionary pages glued on randomly, which I then covered with a layer of white gesso. Once that was dry, I added  various areas of accent colour to add dimension, making sure pink was the main colour. I also used yellow, some green, and patches of white. Any colours can be used, really-- and if you decide it's not working out, just cover it with another thin layer of gesso. The object is to create a layered look, so just keep working with your chosen colours until you are happy with the results.

Once the paint was dry, I worked on the rest of the elements of the picture: assembling the girl, the row of bunting, the snippet of text, and the letter. I placed these on the canvas without gluing them down for a start, just to make sure I was happy with the arrangement of the pieces. Once I had it set out how I wanted, I began adhering them to the canvas. The girl's skirt is layered with more paint and paper, as the original pattern was a bit brighter than I wanted. A thin layer of gesso is a good way to tone down brighter colours, while still allowing some of the pattern to show through.


Once everything was in place and glued down and dried, I used a couple of shades of pink chalk to accent various areas: around the words, along the edge of the polka dot papers on her dress, as well as in random places on the background.  Chalks are fantastic for adding a soft layer of colour, and they can be blended to suit whatever strength you're wanting. I usually apply mine with a foam-tipped applicator, and then blend with my fingertip. Easy! :)

Lastly, I added a Kaisercraft paper bloom in dusty pink and gave the edges of the canvas a quick whizz over (highly technical term, I know!) with a Tim Holtz distress stain in picket fence, just to finish things off. And that, as they say, is that. :)

Hi there - Christine here today with a couple of Layouts using the lovely Lady Rose Collection from Kaisercraft.


For this Layout I have used the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers.....


 I have just used  one photo and have hidden the journalling behind it. The Lady Rose papers I have used are all from the Paper pad so the patterns are smaller than the 12x12 papers, but I rather like that when I use a lot of patterned papers together.
I have used my Epiphany Punch to make the round button and added some pearl flourishes for some bling!


For this layout I just put the patterned papers randomly behind the photo for a more informal look.
I cut out the title using my Silhouette Cameo.
That's my daughter on the left! The 'girls ' looked absolutely gorgeous! I loved how  the dresses were different - 2 of each style and colour.


Finally here is a card I have made based on the above sketch using some of the leftovers! I think a sketch is great if you can use it for both a layout and a card - I will definitely keep this one to use again.

Hello Friends!  Lydia here with a couple projects for you.  First up are two using Kaiser's Lady Rose collection.  A very pink and pretty vintage collection that goes perfect with the October "Think Pink" challenge!


I covered this wooden crown with this sheet of paper.  Love the "b" side of it as well.  This rub on was perfect for the inside of the doily and so easy to apply.  Pink flowers paired well with the white and red ones to add a nice cluster to the side.  I also added some leaves and a wooden girl from Studio Calico.  A touch of lace and some bling complete this project.


My second project with this range is a gift tag.  The base is Kaiser's wood embellishment covered with Lady Rose paper.  I used one of the tags from this paper and trimmed it to fit the tag.  Just a couple flowers added to the corner and a bit of this gorgeous ribbon to wrap around a present finishes it off.  Simple yet beautiful.

I have one more project to share with you today using Kaiser's Base Coat range.  This is a great natural looking range with lots of brick and wood grain papers.  Kaiser also has a great range of colored card stock.  I used a bit of mist and some molding paste on this layout as well.  



Loved the way these clips can add to a page without making it bulky and the same with this chipboard piece.

Good morning to all - it's Betsy here this morning to share three cards made with the super BoBunny, Isabella collection. I love the colours in this range and as it suits this month's challenge, which is "In The Pink", thought I would use it to make these cards.


I do enjoy using that Cherry Lynn Step Card die - it really simplifies step cards. The border for the photo was Marianne Creatables LR0129.


For this card I have used  the Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 with the plain Labels 4. It is a very simple card.



The shape I placed the cameo on, is a Spellbinders Labels 6, the negative strip is from Tim Holtz and PaperVine have the gorgeous organza roses.

I have had a fairly busy weekend with thirty patchwork friends. We had our camp at Stavely and spent most of the weekend behind our sewing machines. It was a very enjoyable time, lots of laughs, food, and companionship, with like minded ladies. Managed to get my grand daughter's quilt put together, so did feel I had achieved  what I set out to do.

Hello everyone, Sharon here with some projects to share

This weekend is a busy one for Breast Cancer Awareness Week. No doubt if you are out and about, you will have seen collectors with their trademark pink paraphernalia collecting money to raise awareness of breast cancer in New Zealand.
Sadly, there are too many women who lose their lives to cancer each year. By raising awareness every year, it gives us all a kick start to "check the girls" for any unusual bumps and lumps. If you have not given yourself a self examination.....do it today!!!

In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness week, I have made a layout celebrating the life of my sister, who has fought breast cancer, and is thankfully now cancer free. I feel nothing but thanks to the doctors and oncologists who treated her successfully, and of course I am thankful, that she was one of the ladies in this world who did do regular self exams!!
For her page, I used the new Teresa Collins lines, available in the store here and here (There is also a lovely Christmas line which is just divine as well!!!)


I created a background using lots of gesso, stamps and ink. I then layered up a heap of different elements from the die cuts and chipboard elements from this range. There are heaps of layers in this layout, as you can see from the close up.....


The second layout I have to show you is from this line Hidden Treasures
This paper collection was perfect for my daughters travel photos to Russia just a few months ago.
In the background, I used this stencil with some texture paste I coloured using acyrlic paint. I love the effect that texture medium gives to a page, and this stencil was just divine.....I can see it getting a work out in lots of my pages, I adore the detail of this stencil....just divine!


Again....lots of layers. Layers of papers, and flowers, and  a lovely heart which I made myself with resin. I then painted it blue to match the page. The mold for the hearts is here. It is the most used resin mold in all of my collection! I love it.

Anyway....heres the finished page...... It is hard to see in this photo, but I have journaled along the right side of the photo mat in a brown pen, it was not my intention for the journaling to be intrusive on this page, but to slip into the background.

to show you the couple of Layouts I have been working on recently using the new Lady Rose Collection from Kaisercraft, and boy is it a beauty.

I am not really a big fan of massive flowers on paper  its fair to say I don't use them at all....but every now and then I do make an exception and this is one of those times.
I found some very cute photos of a friends little baby girl and I was allowed to use them for these layouts....her name is Courtney and isn't she a real wee honey (don't tell but I have some awesome Christmas ones as well of her!!! but they're for later)

Anyway I got a bit side tracked so back to the layouts, In this first layout I have used the specialty paper Violette from the Lady Rose collection, I have cut it out and lifted it, then added it to the Chanelle paper, I trimmed .25 from 2 adjoining edges, distressed all edges inked them and added them to black chipboard to give the whole layout a bit of "oomph"....what do you think
