Hello. Today I have another layout from June's Centre Stage featuring "Bella" product and also the "Quotes" theme for this month. The papers are from the "Black Fusion" range (Cluster, Motif and Floral). As soon as I saw them, they said to me "Formal Occasion" and luckily this black and white photo from my granddaughter's christening was patiently waiting in the pile.
The photo is quite busy and so are the papers so I decided to fussy cut flowers from the Floral paper and mount the photo on plain French Vanilla Bazzill card - one of my favourites. After drawing a large circle in pencil, I endeavoured to lay the flowers around the circle. It just about worked with some single leaves and a few Kaisercraft pearls interspersed. The flowers are all Prima except for the Bella "Organza" brads and a couple of beaded satin flowers I picked up in a haberdashery shop in the UK several years ago.
My quote is, of course, from the Bible and for the title I used a Tim Holtz alphabet die. Apart from the fussy cutting, this was a really simple layout to put together other than those weeny single leaves which kept wandering off and disappearing when I was trying to organise everything in a circle.
Absolutely beautiful LO Lindsey !
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy. Aren't those black flowers delicate? (and there's plenty more on the sheet!) Yippee.
ReplyDeleteLindsey, your layout is stunning! I love how you have used the flowers to create a circular frame! Absolutely gorgeous !!
