Hello again! Lisahere to share a layout & a couple of other things I have put together using Kaisercraft's lovely new collection The Looking Glass.I'm a huge fan of anything & everything Alice In Wonderland-related, so I really love this one. :)
The patterned papers in the collection are a lovely mix of colours, & because the patterns themselves are quite bold, a little goes a long way, which means you get a lot of use out of a single sheet. I started off with a base of plain kraft cardstock covered with a quick coat of gesso paint in random swipes, & then added a couple of hand-torn strips of the March Hare & Tweedle Dee papers around the photo. (another instagram shot of my daughter. It's nice to have an ever-obliging model on hand!)
I built up layers of embellishments around the rest of the photograph, using a mix of the Collectables, some Kaisercraft leaves & flowers, one of the crochet doilies, a pearl brad, some bling, some pieces from the sticker sheet & a couple of other wee embellishments hand-cut from the Tweedle Dee paper & the Drink Meacetate sheet. There are lots & lots of options with all of those goodies, & they all mix & match perfectly.
I also put together a quick card using some of the Mad Hatter paper paired with a quote off the Queen of Hearts sheet, with some of the March Hare design on the inside peeking through the edge which is punched with a Fiskars design & coloured gold with a Tim Holtz distress stain in Tarnished Brass.
Lastly, a quick Project Life card, using another of the quote cards from the Queen of Hearts sheet, cut to show the Mad Hatter paper once more, & topped with a flower and a fancy brad.
And that's it! Such a fun range to play with, so make sure to pop into the shop or head to the website & see what takes your fancy. :) Thanks so much for looking, & have a lovely weekend!
Love the layout - the colours are amazing!
