Ive just noticed the new look for the blog - do you love it? I sure do! Such a gorgeous shade of pink!

Hello everyone, it's Tina here.
The theme for April at Artfull Crafts is "Treats and Travel", so I thought I'd share a few layouts with you. 

Using Photoshop, I journalled on my photo before printing, and love the result. 

I take so many photos on holidays that I really need to do lots of multi-photo layouts to get them all scrapped.  I tend to keep these layouts fairly simple to showcase the photos.










I sprayed Glimmer Mist over stencils to create a subtle pattern, and to adjust the colour of my journal block.  I love the blue "water" dripping from my page.




 I printed my journalling and title onto transparencies, allowing me to share my memories of the day, whilst keeping a clean and simple style.  I painted the arrows and covered them in glitter, before applying Dimensional Magic.  The result is quite three-dimensional and beautiful in real life.






 I love this photo I took on our trip to Hervey Bay, in Queensland.

I haven't posted for a while! So here's a layout I did for the monthly Layout Kit based on Travel. This old Cortina got us over the hills and away on many fun family vacations. But when we started getting older we used to duck when we drove down the main street of town. We lived in Westport!! Who would have cared there?

Anyway, I appreciate that my parents spent their time and effort on us - and were always around for us to play with. They weren't busy trying to earn thousands to give us the newest and best cars. They made do with what they had. Isn't that a great lesson. That's probably why we drive around in cheap cars and are simply grateful to have them!
For this layout I've used some Tim Holtz tissue tape to attach the photos. It's fun playing with this stuff - it's adhesive and slightly translucent.

I've also made a little journal tag book. Don't overlook tags as a useful way of journalling. I've written about some of the fun travels we went on in this car.

So we're off on holiday tomorrow in one of our old cars. Each time we go away on a trip we wonder if it will be the last one! Happy Easter and God bless.

I have a couple of bits and pieces to show you today - mainly projects that I have been trying to finish for a while!

Class of '87 Mini Album
I have made this in advance of my son starting school in May. My Mum will be staying with us and I am going to take heaps of pics on his first day, fill it with his art from his school visits and first day so she can take it back to the UK when she goes home. It will be great for her to be here as it is a real milestone!


I have used the technique shown in the tutorial on my blog here to make the book and then embellished it with a few goodies from the collection. 


From the Class of '87 Collection I have used the Sports Day and Science Project patterned papers  as well as the B/W rubons,Colour rubons and a couple of elements from the 6x6 paper pad.

To make the flag I cut an element from the Sports Day paper, mounted it onto come chipboard to give it some body and then cut around it again. I used used a bamboo kitchen skewer to make the flagpole part!


I am excited about getting it filled up with some great pics!


Nan's Favourites Cards
Now - I am not much of a cardmaker but I like this collection so much I thought I would try and make a couple!


Here I have used one of the Recipe Cards from the Collection as a card base and simple added a journal element from the 6x6 paper pad, a cut out piece from the Lemon Slice paper and a Chipboard Lemon! A piece of garden twine round the fold of the card just adds a rustic feel.


I got the idea for this from a card on the front of a magazine and I thought it was really neat. It's the first time I have used a black outline pen so the lines are a little wobbly. I probably should have inked the edges of the pieces too for more definition - but it was a first attempt! It was a great way to use up the scraps I had from my other projects. I have used the garden twine again - just 'cos it looked so good the first time!


Easter Cupcakes
I made these flowers a while ago one afternoon (you can see how on my blog here) and I was wondering how to use them. I have used some old Cosmo Cricket paper - but it is a great idea for using up some scraps you might have lying around...
I used some as cupcake toppers and stuck some onto kitchen bamboo skewers for using as a "bouquet".




It's just a simple and fun idea :-)

Hi everyone, its been a while since my last post, thing have been so busy! anyway I'm here now!
Today I'd like to share with you a layout to commemorate ANZAC day!

Liz send me some gorgeous "Simple Stories" papers...I love them, and it was good using something new!!!
I've had this photo of my Brother in law's Dad for quite sometime, hoping that oneday I'd be able to create some sort of keepsake for his family...






I've also used a "Dusty Attic" fob watch which i've just givin a little spray with Glimmer mist.




I love the "medals" that strip of paper on the top was just perfect & I just cut the Medals out on my Cricut

                                 



I'm really happy withg the end result!
