We've been working hard packing and posting your Kaiser Kandy bags. We hope you love them! The bags are $20. They are filled with at least $30 worth of Kaiser goodies and some have been stuffed with up to $50 worth! The promotion continues until stock runs out.
On Monday we will be giving away a whole set of Q1 papers (36 papers!). Each bag of Kaiser Kandy you buy puts you in the draw!
Finally... here is the picture of some of the cute things we made in the Spellbinders class. My favourite is the silver box from Kaisercraft. It has been so cleverly designed to fold up easily. I used the Renaissance hearts pendant on top. I also love the Fleur de Lis pendant and I used it to create the item in the bottom left corner. I can't claim to have come up with that idea though! The box on the left has been created using Labels One and filled with lollies. (I'm tempted to eat those tonight...). And lastly, we played with the Scallop cutter to create some flowers.
Buy Kaiser Kandy for only $20. Guaranteed $30 - $50 of Kaisercraft products in each bag!! Limit 2 bags. Be in quick. Last time we sold out in 2 days... If you love Kaiser, you'll love Kaiser Kandy! The bags are ready to be sent...

It's fun when your friends have babies! I love taking photos of them and creating gifts to give them. This gorgeous chipboard set from Fancy Pants was perfect for showing off the photos from an evening we spent with them.
If you look closely you will see that the photos are predominately black and white - but with colour around the baby and her clothes. I did this effect in Picasa. Under the Effect tab there is a "Black and White Focal" option. Around that area the original colour of the photo is maintained. You can make this area bigger or smaller and move it around and make it stronger and weaker. It's a wonderful feature and you should try it out! I wanted to emphasie the lovely girl and the colour of her clothing. I then choose papers that were in that colour scheme too. I have lots of these lovely Baby Box sets for sale. They make such wonderful gifts. Head to www.artfullcrafts.co.nz to check them out.
And don't forget to go and check out Hilary and Clarissa's galleries. They are our new Design Team members and their kits are now ready to purchase! YAY! There are some specials for purchasing their kits too - free postage and some free Kaisercraft pearl strips.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Clarissa Hardy and Hilary Nicholas onto the Artfull Crafts Design Team! They will be creating layout, card and beyond-the-page kits and we're really excited about that! They each have their own galleries on the website and will be posting on a regular basis. Please go there and have a look...! Hilary also has a blog and she regularly posts there.

And I've decided to be on the Design Team too! A great excuse to keep crafting.
The first kits will be ready by the end of the week... We had an official design team meeting a week ago in Christchurch and you can see the evidence!
In fact, it's making me feel a bit peckish now... sadly everything is shut in Timaru after 8pm. It's true! If you want icecream you are out of luck!
I ran a Q1 card class today and had a lot of fun playing with the new kaiser papers, flowers, and bling. (more bling and more bling). Talking about bling - you won't believe this but Kaisercraft have released some more new bling and I'm just waiting on some more boxes of it to run a Kaiser Candy Promotion. That will be fun!
SPECIALS: Don't forget to head over to Artfull Crafts for some specials. Buy 2 kaiser albums and get a third one FREE!
You must be wondering where I had gone to? Well, not much further that the couch. I'm still recovering from this operation... It was 2 weeks yesterday and I'm still taking it easy...
It would be nice to say that I have been busy crafting during my recovery - but it's not that easy when you need to get into drawers and open cupboards (stuffed full with scrapping goodies...). However, I have managed to create a couple of little items..
It was birthday week around here - at home and at Artfull Crafts! Me, my mum, Clarissa (Design Team) and Vicki!
Here is one of the cards I made with the Musical Greeting Card kit... It plays Happy Birthday when you open it!
I've used a Stampin' Up roller, Hambly Jounaling Bits Transparency, Prima Flowers, antique lace and Christina Rea metallic paper.
These Musical Greeting card kits are such great value at only $9 for 3 cards including the musical mecahnism. Yes, I stock them but they sold out on Friday - more coming next week! They are really easy to put together too. Stick the mechanism down, use some mounting foam and then decorate!
Finish off by stamping the inside with a roller from Stampin' Up! People hate to throw these cards out!!
Sue (from Timaru) also kindly brought me her beautiful cards to look at and photograph. She has used the new Spellbinders Renaissance Hearts Pendants and Borders.
Mmm I must go and have a play with my Spellbinders. They arrived while I was in hospital and to be honest I haven't touched them! I can't actually lift the Cuttlebug Machine either... Boy life is tough!!
Happy crafting... I feel sure that the next post will have interesting information about my new Design team...
