Good morning all - Betsy here this morning to share three cards, using the Mr Fox Collection from Kaisercraft. The colour combination in this range is super, can be used for both male and female projects. Another of my MANY favourites and Liz was saying, it is proving to be a fast seller.
We had a showcase of Kaisercraft's collections, for the next three months on Friday night, at Artfull Crafts and a great night was had by all. Lots of fun ranges on the horizon.
This is a 5 1/2" square card and I have made it a recessed window which I so enjoy doing and I love the effect.
Again a 5 1/2" and I have gone the male version this time. I firstly worked on the tag using stencils, distressed inks and Glimmer Mists then added the old car stamp. I think this maybe a Stampendous stamp.
Back into my comfort zone, a ladies card!! I have used the wooden flourishes from Kaisercraft for this one, both the frame and the silhouette. The cut borders are using a Fiskars border punch.
Do check out the competitions at Artfull Crafts - this month is " anything goes" so there are wide spaces for your imaginations to flow. There is also a sketch that you could follow - possibilities are endless!
That's it today ladies, do trust you are keeping warm wherever you are. Winter seems to have struck our country, aren't we thankful for our warm houses etc! On a day like this, my workroom is so cosy. Happy crafting everyone and many blessings,
Hello, hello! Lisa here again with some more layouts- this time featuring another of Kaisercraft's May releases: Mister Fox. And oh, is it ever fabulous-- it is probably one of my all-time favourite ranges to work with so far. At first glimpse the collection appears to be quite masculine-themed (it is called Mister Fox, afterall) so I figured I'd be contrary and see what kind of layout I could come up with using the more feminine aspects of the collection. You can see what I made below. :)
With a sheet of stamped and sprayed kraft cardstock as a base, I used a sheet of rose-patterned paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 pad, and paired it with a hand-torn strip from the Brave sheet. On top of that, I layered my photo and surrounded it with a variety of Collectables, elements cut from the other side of the Brave sheet, washi tape, some stamped images and a couple of wood veneers -- my newest obsession. ;) To finish off, a couple more strips of paper from the range, some bling, and that's it-- done! A couple of closer detail shots:
My second layout features one of my favourite sheets from the collection: Honourable. I absolutely love the colours and pattern of it. I paired it with a round Instagram shot of a vintage Singer sewing machine table I have in the entranceway of my home, which features an arrangement of some of my favourite things on it. Some Collectables, hand-cut graphic elements from the Brave sheet, some Kaiserflowers, ribbon, brads, bling and a veneer cogwheel add the finishing touches.
A closer look:
The final layout I made showcases the masculine side of the range: I used a black and white shot of my husband, and paired it with papers featuring some bold graphic elements, as well as some Collectables, veneer shapes and washi tape.
And a couple of closer shots:
Mister Fox is in store now, so you can see for yourself how very lovely (and versatile!) it is. If you purchase the entire collection, it's currently 15% off. Why not treat yourself, in preparation for all those winter crafting days when it's grey and wet outside. :)
As always, thanks so much for looking, and I hope you found some inspiration!
Hi there - Christine here today with some pocket pages I have made using the Simple Stories Snap Collections. This one is all about dogs! We have a chocolate lab cross, Meg, who loves to come and help me feed the calves and come walking over the farm. The black dog is Oscar, who belongs to my daughter, and he loves to visit the farm! Of course I love to take photos of them and what better way to show them off than by using the Dog series.....
I have used Snap! - Insta Squares - Dogs in my pockets as well as some of the papers from the Snap Life 6x6 paper pad and Snap Life Basics 6x6 pad. Love how you can mix and match with this range.
I have also embellished with some washi tape and some stickers.
Also new into the shop this week is the DIY range from Simple Stories - which I just LOVE!! Lots of stickers and letters and cards etc, to play around with and make to suit you.
This is such a quick and easy concept on how to scrap your photos - you can go really simple or spend a bit of time embellishing. I seem to be doing both, but the best thing is I am getting my photos into albums and I am not feeling overwhelmed by it all!
Good morning ladies - Betsy here this morning to share some cards with you. Yes, I know that I am on the list to do a post tomorrow but noticed there is no-one down on the schedule for today, so as I will be in Timaru tomorrow thought I would sneak a post in today. Do hope you all approve!!
This selection of cards, are using Kaisercraft's Happy Snaps collection which came out last month. They were published in the Workshop Magazine but as I know some do not receive the magazine thought I would share them here. It is a fun, happy range of papers and it has been rather popular, especially with those who are interested in photography. What's your thoughts ladies?
Remember the competitions Artfull Crafts are running at the moment - they are fun and there are prizes to be won. You know you have to be in, to win!! We love seeing all the talent that is out there.
Hope you are all surviving these cool damp days, AND it is only Autumn you know!! Happy crafting to all and many blessings. Keep warm.
Hello! Tonight I have a project to show you that I have completed in a Pocket Scrapbooking style, which is all the latest craze. For this project I have used papers and collectables from the Happy Snaps range by Kaisercraft. (There are pocket scrapbooking cards - Captured Moments - available in this range however I wanted to show you how easy it is to use these gorgeous papers too.)
This page is to record a day trip to Moeraki Boulders with our little 'Lego tourist' in tow (a way to take fun photos from a different perspective) ...
Why not give a pocket scrapbook page a go and add one into your current album ... they are so much fun to create.
Hello again! Lisahere, and this time I have a layout I've made with the new Storyteller range from Kaisercraft. Now, here's where I admit that I am not much of a "floral" kind of girl, but I have to say after having the chance to play with these gorgeous papers, I might just be a convert! The colours and designs are so very lovely, and working on this layout was a real pleasure. :)
I used a combination of the Myth and Anecdote papers for the background, with a photo of my daughter in the centre. I then added some embellishments (some of the Collectables, ribbon, buttons, assorted flowers and bling dots) as well as a couple of wooden veneer pieces, because I'm pretty much besotted with them at the moment. Nice and simple, and I'm pretty sure this particular layout came together beautifully in under 30 minutes.
It's challenge time! And it's certainly crafty weather time. So we've thrown wide open the theme of the month. We look forward to seeing your entries.
