Teresa - KaiserCraft Needle book

Morning all! Teresa here with a cute little project using KaiserCraft's Needle and Thread range. This collection really lends itself to sewing themed projects, so I thought I'd make something practical:

It's a needle book. I was getting sick of pricking myself on my needles, and they were always falling out of my pin cushion when I travelled, so I made this little book to keep them in.  Here it is open:

and open all the way:

I cut some calico to size with pinking shears to use as 'pages' then used my sewing machine to stitch them into the spine of the book.  The outside of the book was embellished with paper from the Cotton sheet of paper, a wooden spool and bits and bobs from the Collectables pack.

Thanks for looking!

Tracy - Hopscotch

Hello Tracy here on this overcast Sunday. After water blasting the house I have managed to make a card using Kaisercraft collection - Hopscotch. Apart from the paper, I have also used Hopscotch Collectables and Rub Ons

Here's a close up of my copic shading. I don't normally used my grey copics to colour, but I am loving her skirt and the folds I have created.

Hope you are all having a great weekend

Teresa - more KaiserCraft Hopscotch cards

Hi there - Teresa here! On Wednesday I showed you a bright set of cards I made using KaiserCraft's Hopscotch range. You can see that post here.

Today I have another set of cards from the same range of paper, but this time I have pulled all the neutral elements from the range and made a completely different set of cards:

These papers are from the paper pad, the scallop border from the die cut sheet at the back of the pad, and the bird and combi van are from the sticker sheet.

The next card has a couple stylised flowers are from the Collectables pack:

and the chevrons on the last card were cut out of the chevron sheet of paper out of the paper pad.

It's almost hard to believe these cards came from such a bright range!

Thanks for dropping in for a look today :)

Robbi here with some Base Coat Layouts

Hi Everyone in "Scrappy" Land
It is me...Robbi...the lost DT member, I promise I didn't really got totally AWOL, just a little sideways
I have been busy creating some goodies for something very special in July and I am very excited about it and unfortunately they have taken all my time....but more on that at another time!

Anyway I have also been busy with the awesome papers from the wonderful Kaisercraft and their range of Base Coat papers, I must admit when I received them from Liz I instantly thought of Boy/Male layouts but
kind of got it to swing in favour of having some flowers, ribbon and of course a little Tim!

This first Layout was created after a horrible game of rugby that the Boys really should not of lost, however these things happen and the papers from this Base Coat Collection. also used was one of the Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers Word Dies, I find these wonderful for that different title and there is some very cool words, like Imagine, Moments, Family, Journey, Friends and Dream. I'm sure If you were interested Liz could source some for you. Also used is the new Photo Wheel die from Tim's latest collection of goodies.

Anyway I layered the different elements on this page and distressed the photos, used some old die cut tags and think it doesn't look to bad (Okay and it has a couple of token flowers)

and here is a close up of the right hand embellie

In this next layout I have been a bit creative...well maybe more adventurous, I have cut out some of the fence pieces and layered them over the others, I also inked the edges quite hard to make them really stand out. after adding some matted up threads and wool I also added the cogs, ticket pieces and yep you got it FLOWERS. I also used one of the little Kaisercraft Bingo Cards Clear Stamps, these are really awesome little stamps and not expensive at all to put in your stash.

and here is a closeup of the flower cluster

Hopefully these 2 layouts might give you a little inspiration and I look forward to bringing you some more goodies in the not to distant future.

These Layouts will be at the shop for closer inspection if you would like to see them

Jo - RSA We remember

Good morning and a what a bit of a mix of weather for us this Anzac day, Jo here with my Anzac page.  Both my daughters have represented their schools at the RSA speech competitions, this is Sam's page, she was placed third for the Waikato Bay of Plenty competition, which was fantastic.  Her speech was about family that had served in all the different wars, and her uncle turned up to watch and he was in the speech, so it was special for both of them.  No one had ever mentioned Malaysia and the soldiers that fought there before, so it was very memorable.  So I had to use this range from Kaisercraft Remember me.

This range was perfect for this project.  The poppies and the We Remember were really important, and as for this flowers that look like poppies, they are red roses, that I squashed and then I found a large white brad and I cut a black circle and adhered to the top, and then added some black kindy glitz. I think they look like poppies. The world is a Kaisercraft wooden flourish that I inked brown.

I had a lot of photo so I decided to make the page open up.  "We remember" is the tab for opening the page.

This is the page opened right up, I was glad to keep all the photos from the event, but then Sam's great uncle turned up so that what was so special for her, that is why it made the front cover.

I used Remember me paper, collectables, and the world flourish and a bird flourish

Teresa - Bright KaiserCraft Hopscotch cards

Hi all! Teresa here with some cards using the beautiful Hopscotch range from KaiserCraft:

Here they are one by one:

I used one of the sections on the Artful sheet as the card front, and embellished with bits and pieces from the Collectables pack and the sticker sheet.  The borders come from the back of the paper pad.

For this second card I used some pieces from the Collectables pack, some of the sheets and die cuts from the paper pad, and a little piece of ribbon and some twine.

The third card was made using a sheet and die cuts from the paper pad, a sticker and some Collectables. The hello stamp is very old Hero Arts.

Putting this card together made me realise how much time I saved by having a few different products from one collection on hand, instead of wasting time looking for things that match!

Thanks for dropping in today.

Betsy - Card Orders

Hello all - Betsy here this morning, with a very quick post, to share three cards I have made for orders.

The colours are my favourite - brown and teal! I do enjoy making different shaped cards. This was cut out using the Grand Labels 23 for the main card then Beaded Ovals. A Webster Cameo and the flowers are made using Kaisercraft's paper flowers, put together with a brad then crushed up. Love the effect!

This card is really quite self explanatory. I joined the three strips of paper together using the zig zag on my sewing machine, lovely Prima flowers and the Cherry Lynn Fancuful Flourish die. Do hope Thea approved of her birthday card!

An Anniversary card for Rema and Tony. A Martha Stewart punch was used for the bottom border, Spellbinders Labels 16 for the sentiment label and I made the flower using the Retro Flower Punch, moulding it then adding  a small flower in the centre. The leaves are Spellbinders Foliage Die.

Off for morning tea with a friend, so will make that do for today.

Do hope you enjoy the viewing, happy crafting all and many blessings,

Betsy.

Sandy - Cosmo Cricket Grab Bag Cards

Hi, it's Sandy with a retro style card and tag for you today. When I saw the Cosmo Cricket Grab Bags in the store I knew I wanted to do something with the cool, graphic images and the nostalgic style lettering from the Social Club papers.

For this tag, I cut out the girl image and layered it onto a mini-tag. Then I added some wood veneers and opaque black rhinestones for texture. Everything is finally matt onto a larger tag.

For my card, I cut the couple image and layered it onto a background made up of a series of journal cards. To fill the blank space at the bottom I randomly placed some alphas, treating them as graphic shapes.

These Grab Bags, filled with $45 worth of papers and embellishments, are now going for only $20. That's a saving of 55% ! If there's an older collection that you've missed out on when it first hit the store, this is a great time to stock up.

Supplies : Cosmo Cricket Grab Bag #37 & #45 (Social Club Borders, Jazz, Elements), Kaisercraft Rhinestones Black & Wood Flourish Hot Air Balloons, Pink Paislee Sidewalks Tag, K&Co Smash Washi Tape, Jenni Bowlin Rhinestone Stars, Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Phrase Stickers

Nichole - Kaisercraft Elegance Card

Hi there! Nichole here with a new card using the Kaisercraft Elegance line.

This line is classic elegance embodied in silver and gold tones, foiled papers, and hints of teal. Peacock feathers and flowers are the main images in this line.

It can be used in various types of cards or projects and could be your go to paper when you need extra sparkle!

I've used the Kaisercraft Elegance 6.5x6.5 paper pad in this line to create an anniversary card to showcase its foiled paper.  I chose a bright white paper with silver and gold flowers and swirls.

This star circle is the Starry Wreath die from Memory Box.  The stars have been accented with a Sakura Gelly Roll Silver Stardust pen to make them sparkle and shine.  Corners have been rounded with a We R Memory Keepers Corner chomper in 1/2" size.

This sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Movers and Shakers line.  It's heat embossed using a mixture of silver and gold embossing powder.

Every Single Day! Not just on special occassions like today. This sentiment is versatile for whatever day you may be celebrating.

The midsection was cut using a die - and sentiment section was hand cut and propped on foam adhesive spanning the window.

A view from the side displaying the centre which has been cut with a Spellbinders Rectangle die, then framed with the Starry Wreath die cut, and finally overlaid with the sentiment on foam adhesive.

MT Metallic Washi tape adorns the edge to break up the large area of pattern.  A metallic twine is tied around the bottom to balance the overall shape.

And finally the inside of the card - it's been decorated as well with Kaisercraft Collectables Elegance die cuts.

"I'm reminded how wonderful you are."  The inside sentiment is perfectly lined up with the outside sentiment.

And this Elegance paper line was WONDERFUL to work with.  It's a versatile paper line that can be used for Birthdays, Anniversaries, New Years - or any ocassion where you need a special touch of elegance.

Thanks for reading!
