Good morning ladies - Betsy here today to show the cards that I made for the Card Kit using Blubells collection, from Kaisercraft, that is now available from Artfull Carfts. Everything is in this kit to make the six photographed cards, plus some more! Any die shapes I have used have been all cut out for you which is an added bonus. For the intricate cards there are instructions to follow and of course a pattern.
That's it today ladies. I have been lying fairly low this past fortnight as have not been feeling the best - actually had a couple of nights in hospital for explorative tests, with more to follow. As a result, have not spent much time in my workroom and am missing it.
When I looked back on the schedule, I discovered I was to have put a post up on the 8th but afraid I missed that one. That's what happens when your mind gets taken up with other things!!
Do hope you have all had a happy Easter and enjoyed whatever you have been up to - the weather has not been the best here but of course, could have been worse. Thank you for checking out this post - hope you all rush to Artfull Crafts to get the Kit!!
Hi there ladies - good afternoon, and Happy Easter to you all!
Not sure about where you are, but here, today, the sun has come out for a bit. It's so nice to see it! I hope that you are all having a lovely Easter break. It's no secret that I love my weekends, but I sure do love my LONG weekends! Especially two in a row!!!
Now, I have an Easter card for you today, created with the super cutesy Kaisercraft Happy Snaps April range:
I have to say that I do love playing with my alcohol markers, but I tend to forget to get them out to play with. Much like a lot of other supplies, sometimes I swear I am just collecting them, not actually USING them! Anyone else have that problem? Ha ha ha!
The stamp is from an old set that I have had for years, from CC Designs. I dusted it off and had a play with some Copics and Kaiser Fusion pens to colour it in, then used a silver Marvy twinklette to highlight my bunny with a bit of bling. Yep, gotta love me some bling ;)
Once again my infamous rolled flowers feature, as well as some hand cut leaves. The frame is a die cut with my Silhouette Cameo.
This month's theme is Furry Friends (take a look here for more info), and I'm still working on my furry friend project, so I'll come back and show it to you on Tuesday, ok? Ok? Good. Glad we've got that settled!
If you haven't had a go at one of our monthly challenges, I dare you to give it a go.... there's even a prize draw for the newbies, so what have you got to lose? Nothing, I tell ya!
Right, I'm off to have a hot cross bun for afternoon tea.... see you on Tuesday, same bat time, same bat channel :)
Hello! It's Lisa here, sharing some projects I've made using the lovelyHoney Chai range from Kaisercraft. It's another gorgeous release-- as the name suggests, there are plenty of warm, earthy colours as well as delicate patterns- perfect for this time of year.
The first thing I made was a mini-canvas, sized at around 8x8, from memory. I loved the Carawaypaper featuring tiny swallows in flight, so have used that for the base. On top, I've layered a selection of Collectables (the larger swallow, the flower and leaf, the quote, and the rose border on the left-hand side) as well as a fabric leaf and two buttons, topped with a couple of glittery bling hearts. A strip of crochet lace at the top and bottom of the canvas finish it off. Nice and simple! :)
I also made a couple of layouts. The first features the patterned side of the Nutmeg paper, paired with a favourite autumnal photo I took, as well as a quote cut from the Tumericsheet layered on top.
I added a strip of the reverse side of the Nutmeg paper just under the photograph, paired with a strip of the crochet lace again. A rose from the Collectables, a couple of fabric leaves, and a word strip cut from the the bottom of one of the papers (with tiny little bling pearls between each word) finish the page off.
A closer look:
The second layout I made uses a sheet of the Sagepaper as a base-- I love the soft, woodgrain pattern of this one. I used nine favourite photos of my husband and daughter for this one, cut into squares and arranged into a grid pattern in the centre of the page.
At the intersection of each photo, I used a bit of bling to add a little sparkle. A strip of hand-torn Nutmeg paper is directly under the bottom of the photos, with some Baker's Twine on top, anchored in place by a "Love Life" sticker from the sticker sheet, as well as a couple of pieces of woodgrain washitape.
Lastly, a decorative brad on the bottom right, a "smile" sticker from the sticker sheet on the top right, a contrasting strip of pattern cut from one of the other sheets along the very bottom edge, and it's done! :) Such a lovely range, and such a pleasure to work with. You can find the Honey Chai collection online here.
As always, hope you get some inspiration from this, and thanks so much for looking! :)
Its definitely birthday month in our house this month!! Today is my little sisters birthday, and to celebrate, I have scrapped a page of her and I when we we met up in Australia last year!
I have used the most fabulous range of paper by Kaisercraft.....the Kaleidoscope collection.
Simply love the freshness of these papers! Very pretty and feminine.
In this page, I have used gesso which I have stamped into, and allowed to dry. I have then used gelatos to blend and shade, and finally some lovely little background stamps. I adore this stitching stamp here by prima! it is sooooooo much simpler than getting out the machine to add the finer details! I used a square punch to punch out 2inch squares and place them under the photo like building blocks. The use of assorted flowers and laces are then used to create a frame for the photo, and also some shapes from the kaleidoscope collection have been added to the mix.
Another page I created with this collection, is this page
I used some texture paste through a wire netting mask ( any mask will work....but preferably one with a fine design). Check out the ones in the shop here
These papers were so stunning I just wanted to layer them up, pop a photo on top then cluster a selection of flowers and die cuts. Love this layout.....its the first time my family have been together for a long LONG time, and it was lovely that it was a family wedding that brought us all together.
Thanks for looking.....(and have a lovely day Kim!!!)
With a long weekend on the way, and some bad weather forecast I plan to get my craft on with some gorgeous new releases from Kaisercraft! Trust me you are going to want to watch the blog and shop over the next couple of months for the new releases - some are fun and some are just stunning, something for everyone!
You may remember my blog post where I showcased a canvas using some gorgeous papers - the collection I used was the April release from Kaisercraft called Kaleidoscope - I have some more projects to show you today that I have created using the same collection.
This collection has a fantastic mixture of papers in varying colours, patterns and styles but they all work so well together. I created this simple collage of a selection of papers, added some black stitching and the result is a layout I love.
The quote cards are fantastic for either Project Life style albums, or for use in a layout like this.
I recently spend a weekend scrapbooking with a group of ladies at an annual camp. One of the challenges was to create three cards - the Kaleidoscope collection has beautiful papers which are perfect for cards too, beautiful designs and they look so elegant without having to add to much detail.
This month the theme is Furry Friends - so I couldn't resist showing you my favourite photo at the moment! Graham LOVES our chickens. When he arrives home he plants a smooch on my cheek and then quickly scampers outside to chat to the chicks! They are very friendly and likeable. Almost too friendly. On this particular day we had been trying to dig the garden and they were jumping in the hole, jumping on the spade and generally making a nusiance of themselves. They just wanted in on the action (and a bite at the beetles and worms).
Here's one of the girls perching on Graham's arm...
I've created the layout using Kaisercraft's new Honey Chai collection and I ended up creating a few more garden and outdoors layouts with this range. The colours are perfect for it.
The Honey Chai collection include papers, stamps, stickers and a small paper pad and it's all available now at Artfull Crafts. Head to the website to see the full range available.
After three weeks without to craft because of my arm covered in plaster, I am back with new creations who I hope will inspire you.
To realize this home decoration, I used a photo frame which I bought in a store " Action ". I removed the glass window and from the place, I added a cardboard 3 mm in thickness of the same measure.
Then, I filled the bottom of every compartment with various papers of the new collection " Kaisercraft ", "Kaleidoscope". They are magnificent!
On the top of my frame, I stuck a wooden embellishment. I decorated it with "Glitter Stickels Icicle".
For the first compartment, I decorated with a ticket "Tim Holtz" - "Adore" that I stuck with a piece of "Foam Tape". Then, I stuck a flower pink "Gardenia" and a small white rose. Finally, I added small butterflies whom I cut on a sheet of the block " Kaisercraft " - "Kaleidoscope".
In the corner, I stuck a die-cut " Kaisercraft ", collection "Kaleidoscope".
In the second compartment, I stuck a small frame in resin " Prima Marketing ". In this context, I stuck a photo of my 4 more young children (Florian, Katlynn, Quentin and Kassandra).
In the corner left, I stuck a small wooden reel filled with ribbon " pink Organza ". Above, I added a small blue bird truquoise. Finally, just in front, I stuck a bow which I realized with a piece of the same ribbon.
To the right, I stuck a character "Magnolia". I colorized it with the following ink " Distress ":
In the first lower compartment, I stuck a small angel in plaster as well as a small pink and white rose.
Then, I added another rubberstamp "Magnolia" than I colorized with the same ink " Distress " as the precedent.
In the following frame, I stuck a piece of paper cut from a sheet of the same collection and I added half a white pearly pearl in every corner.
Finally, in the last compartment, I stuck a motive cut from a sheet of the same collection. I stuck it with a piece of "Foam Tape" and I added a small flower " Lilidaft " cremate.
All the flowers of this home decoration are decorated with some touches of "Glitter Stickels".
And here is for the explanations!
I thank you for your passage and wish you an excellent day! Bye for now!
Hugs,
You will find the material in the shop " Artfull Crafts ":
