Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created of one of my friends wee boys - isn't he just the cutest on his wee tractor ;)
Ive used Kaisercrafts POP! collection. Not really something I would usually go for but the bright colours appealed - usually Im more of a traditional heritage chick ;) - so this was a bit of a challenge for me!
I decided to give myself a bit more of a challenge to use the collection but not in the way it was meant for - its ideally suited for birthdays and celebrations, I just wanted to do a colourful layout capturing this cool wee dude :)
Ive backed my layout with BoBunny chevron double dot as my base and then used the reverse of original double dot on top - its plain on this side as opposed to polka dotted on the other. You can find the chevron double in an awesome range of colours in the shop here.
I used a selection of stickers as my embellishments and doodled around the edges to help them 'pop' out of the page, and help tie all the different elements together.
To create my background Ive randomly stamped two different Kaisercraft stamps - Arty and Sketchy. The stitched look on the grey double dot and aqua paper are BoBunny Stitches stamp.
The chipboard Ive used is from my own stash, and I wanted to cover the negative space with different colours so I took the Balloons paper and traced the stars around some of them to get the colours I wanted.
I like the simplicity and clean lines of this layout....may have to use it Megan!!! Looks great
