Inspiration
In our final week before Christmas, the Design Team will be sharing their ideas for Stocking Stuffers.
Here's a great idea from Christine Bonifacio last year:
Have a great week and don't forget to check back next week!
Hi it's Sandy with a little giftbox idea for you. It's perfect as a treat holder for guests at a christmas party. A piece of 6.5"x8.5" paper will make a 1.5"x1.5"x2" box. It has a self-locking mechanism but just to glam things up I pushed some fancy pins through the top.
The kraft doily paper I used is Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic collection. The push pins are Webster's Pages Let's Celebrate. I might have grabbed the last packet from the shop so an alterative you can use are these gorgeous Jenni Bowlin Pearl Pins.
Here's the boxtemplate

Hi all! Teresa here with a cute little matching bag and tag set using KaiserCraft's Merry and Bright range.
This was so easy to put together! You'll need bits and pieces of your favourite range of Christmas papers (and there's a nice selection here!), plus a plain brown gift bag and some scraps of co-ordinating cardstock.
KaiserCraft make things almost too easy with their die cut Collectables packs. A little foam mount tape makes them a simple feature on any project:
The tag was literally made with scraps left over from decorating the bag:
Right - in less than an hour, the packaging for my Kris Kringle gift is done! These sets would be great for end of year teacher gifts too.
Hope you're enjoying our Wrapping and Gift Tags week of the Christmas Countdown. Not long now until the big day, says she who is too scared to look at a calendar ;)
Christmas is coming - and fast! Nichole here with a Christmas Tag. Can you believe it's December already? Hope you're fully enjoying the Christmas Countdown and all the projects we have on offer!
Here's a special tag for any present under the tree - whether it be for a loved one - or yourself!
These gentle muted tones inspired me to do a bit of a distress look. The background is dark green and has been painted over with Folk Art Crackle Medium, and then finished with a quick coat of white acrylic paint. It crackled so nicely!
Some washi tape along the bottom makes a nice golden contrast against the dark green. Snowflakes were stamped in Colorbox White Pigment ink to float above the other elements.
Some Diamond Stickles to this Kaisercraft Merry and Bright die cuts gives these berries a bit of frost and sparkle.
A small pompom was made from red and white baker's twine, fluffed and trimmed, then glued down on top of the tag string.
And it IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Thanks for reading, and hope these Christmas Countdown projects continue to inspire you to create and to celebrate the Holidays!
Merry Christmas here from Nichole! Christmas is coming fast, only 2 weeks left! Moving right along with our Christmas Countdown - I have a tag for you today using the Echo Park This and That Christmas collection.
Echo Park has once again released a collection that is cheerful, bright, and just ever so slightly retro using classic colours, fun imagery, and whimsy!
I take a No 8 sized, regular manila shipping tag and cover it with Echo Park's This and That Paper Ornaments B-side, a lovely rich woodgrain pattern. I then cut a doily in half and adhered each side to opposite edges.
Detailed shot of the layered chipboard piece. Chipboard piece was edged with Scotch Quick Dry adhesive and Twinklets Diamond Dust. Diamond dust gives any piece a vintage glittery look - almost like ice crystals. Chipboard piece is adhered with hot glue for stability.
Love this classic icons and bright colours!
This bright red organza ribbon is the perfect red to compliment the vintage green hues in this collection. Ribbon was cut and sealed using the Imagicut Ribbon Cutter and Sealer - cuts and seals ribbons in one easy step! Such a breeze with organza ribbon - no frays/
Ribbon was double-bowed using a bow template and adhered using hot glue.
This tag is studded with bling! I used the i-Rock tool and Hot Rocks Compact to give this tag some sparkle and cheer.
Mini button detail from this collection is so cute, I couldn't pass it up.
Hope your holiday season is filled with Magical Delight too!
Hello, Tracy here again. Today I wanted to show you a couple of boxes I have been working on. They both have a beautiful cup inside which I am giving to my daughter for boarding school next year. I ran out of Mod Podge so unfortunately the paper is held firmly in place with tape.
Here is a photo looking down on the gift set. The packaging was pretty plain looking when I bought them. I wish I had of taken a "before" photo to show you the difference.
And here is a close up of the tag. Just remember, for a more shabby look, you don't have to make a hole and thread the ribbon as a tie.... you can just staple the ribbon to the tag like I have done. Used in this project was paper and stickers from Simple Stories - Handmade Holiday
Hope you have enjoyed looking at what I have created. There sure is a lot of inspiration for everyone on this blog Artfull Crafts has the most amazing Design Team.
Hi it's Sandy with my take on the Kaisercraft Merry & Bright challenge that Liz set for the design team. It's been ages since I did a challenge so forgive me if I'm a little rusty.
As Tracy said this collection is quite misleadingly named, being quite muted with a lightly distressed colour palette. I didn't fight this and chose to highlight the browns and greens of the papers I was given, pairing them with a berry vine wood flourish to give my first tag a woodland christmas feel. With what was leftover I made a simpler tag that's composed of a series of triangles.
Hope you'll check out what the rest of the team did with this challenge.
We hope you've enjoyed the all the challenges so far - Christmas Cards, Layouts/Photo Gifts, Homemade Gifts, Home/Tree Decorations and Table Decorations. We have our WINNERS for the Home/Tree Decorations - so keep reading to see if it's YOU! You also have until next Saturday to upload a Table Decoration into the Gallery. Head there to see what's been entered so far and to submit your project. We've also got a great set of Specials this week - so keep reading!
