Happy Father's Day Gift

Hi everyone. It's Liz here and even though "Spring has Sprung", we're going to have one more for the boys today!!

I've made my dad a Kaisercraft Writing Box and have covered it in Kaisercraft's Hunt & Gather range. I'm not really sure what he's going to use the box for - but he does like to go out into the back country and do some fishing. So perhaps he can use it to keep maps and photos of his trips. The box lid opens out and its assembled dimensions are approx 12" x 11" x 3.5".

The colours of the paper collection meant that I didn't need to paint the box edges! I just covered the inside and outside of the box sides and top and used the Tim Holtz blending tool to ink the wooden edges later.

The Hunt & Gather stickers are really versatile. I've cut off the flags and mounted them onto cardstock, before adhering to the box with foam dots. Then I've stuck them down onto some jute twine.
The tag has been created from some scrap cardboard (and a bit of water, ink, ripping and rolling!) and then I've added the bettle rub on.

The chipboard buttons are from the Up, Up and Away collection and twine would have to be one of my favorite cheapest products!

Finally I've stuffed the fish stickers to give them a 3-D effect. I put extra sticky tape around the edge of the sticker and then aded mounting foam into the stomach. Then I've added another fish sticker on top and pressed the edges together tightly.

Here's the card that I've created using the Kaisercraft Up, Up and Away collection. I LOVE their paper pads!!

Enjoy the rest of your evening!
:-) Liz
